Cornwall can of course be very busy and some things a little pricey.
Cornwall though does have "Two" coasts so to speak, when our kids were smaller we often found that if the weather was not to brilliant one coast could be completely different to the other.
Rough sea and weather one side and calm see and fair weather the other side, if you have kids that want the beach it can be ideal. Eden Project and many other attractions also give plebty of options if a family wants entertainment.
But beware the parking charges and entertainment bills can make a budget soar.
