Hiya peeps, we live in east yorkshire and have been looking at taking the tourer to the haven site at craig tara some time next year and i was just wondering if anyone has been there and if its any good or not, cheers
 
I took a group of kids there for the day a couple of years ago ... i'm a teacher.

The touring site looked awful (granted i'm used to CC sites) and the whole place was very down at heal.

Not for me.
 
Hi Matthew, never been to Craig Tara and don't imagine I will ever go there as I have never heard anyone say a good word about the touring facilities.

If that is the area you are looking at I would recommend the Caravan Club site at Ayr - Craigie Gardens. I'm wondering though if you have kids and that's why you were looking at Craig Tara, for its entertainment. Unfortunately there's no clubhouse at Craigie Gardens.

I spent a week at Craig Tara last October the touring site is very basic and the toilet and showering facilities were dismal to say the least although that was not a problem for us as we use the caravan for showering and washing the main part of the site is fine with entertainment swimming pool etc the bar prices are a bit expensive and it cant be that bad as I am returning again for a week this October for
