We are possibly heading to France in about 8 weeks and I tow with a Volvo XC60 2019 diesel car that has ad-blue.
Do I require a crit air sticker?

Thanks

If heading into any of the cities/ares with restrictions then yes you do.
It's a very simple process to get one, costs about €5-6. It can all be done on line in about 5 minutes. Just be sure it's the official website or you might get stung!!

If there is any risk of driving into Germany I would get one of theirs as well (from the Berlin office.) Its cheaper than the French one and arrives in less than a week.

I have just bought my German one via TUV/SUD very easy website and on its way now. 17.5 Euro

Really there’s need to capitalise words, but I don’t think a German city would look kindly on me displaying a French sticker.
My point was that at €17.5 as per Woodentops post (which is the one I meant to respond to) the German version costs a lot more than the French Crit-Air at €5-6

I choose to capitalise to emphasis things, and will continue to do so if I wish to. There is no "need" to ensure correct punctuation or spelling (as in using berth to signify the number of beds, rather than birth, and dont get me started on meter and metre) but again that's something I choose to do as I feel it's important.

Fair enough, but I think mine did permanent damage to the windscreen as well.

It's glass, so unless there was something like an etching acid in the glue that's not possible. Strong acid usedto be transported, and stored, in large glass carbouys!
Quite possible that it left some adhesive residue behind though.

I suspect Woodentops sticker via Berlin.de was cheaper than TUV/SUD. According to ACSI German stickers are valid in Spain’s emissions zones.

If you research them, it is not just a case that the sticker will be destroyed if removing it, but that they are not meant to be removed at all. Yes, it may be possible that this super glue can be removed eventually with a hammer or something. I can assure you the stick like ****. The chances are that removing will damage the screen. But just my opinion after having experience.

My reason for posting this was simply to warn those fitting them that they need to take extra care as there is just one chance when fitting them.

Do the CRIT stickers cover all towns and city's, I thought you needed one for each place.
One sticker does all of France and is for life of vehicle. It will have a category dependent on the vehicle. So in some cities you may enter, others you may not. But the zones may vary too depending on pollution levels. On a bad day certain vehicle category are banned. On a good day no restrictions.

As I said earlier, the Berlin-issued sticker is €5 locally or €6 including shipment if ordered on line If you paid €17.5 you were done!
Looks like a couple of steins less for me then. 🍺🍺

Mind you Frankfurt charge €22 so I don’t feel so bad.

My Crit Air sticker said to place on right hand side of the screen, but needed to check before applying that it didn't cause a problem at MOT time, another that can confirm that once the sticker is on there is no way to adjust the position.

Bottom right side is well outside of the MoT windscreen areas. If any doubts put it bottom left side where NT, and EH stickers go.

I put any stickers in the unwiped area of the windscreen, the largest of which is top left.

Well this is where common sense should kick in, but it seems you boys ain't blessed with any. Regarding the sticky sticker thing stick it on something else and use it like a blue badge. Simples.
