Delamere forest ?

Hi Andy,

We have been to Delamere forest a few times, There is some noise from the train line that runs near the site but nothing too great,Being able to walk straight in to the forest is great and my daughter and dog loved it,

when we last went in October there was husky racing at night and there always seems to be events going on.You can catch the train into chester from the station by the site and dogs go free! The toilets need a code for the door rather than a key and when we went last there was a fish and chip van that came on either fri/sat night can't remember which!.

The warden can come across as slightly terse but I think its just his manner and is very friendly once you talk to him

Hope this helps

Aimee

Been there, loved it. There is a "go ape" outpost in the forest (didn't feel tempted though!!) The train noise is not a problem. There are only a few an hour and they are the small 3 carriage jobs. we used the train to get to Chester, the station is ashort walk away. There isn't a children's play area but our lad played in the woods. Good dog walk as well. I'd go again
