We thought about stopping into Wellthroth Hall for a few days to meet up, but the 5 kg of Barnsley lamb chops and 4lamb shanks took priority to get them home. Enjoy the area.
Looking at getting out late November after some family stuff. Have to get the Aqua roll covers on for the winter. 🌨️

Yep, diesel definitely on the way up again. One local garage has a 24ppl difference between unleaded and diesel. That can’t be anything but profiteering as that particular garage has a lot of HGV traffic.

Went to top up today and diesel was at £1.89 per litre, but unleaded is £0.22p cheaper. Yesterday at the same service station diesel was £1.85 a litre.

Just passed through Melksham and BP petrol is 163.9 and diesel 20pence per litre more expensive. The petrol is 6 pence cheaper than our local Esso so I’m afraid Nectar and Esso are going to loose out on this fill up when I return later today.

Our local Tesco Express selling Esso has been closed for four months, along with another Morrisons Local that sells Esso. In that time Sainsbury’s have been more expensive than branded fuels in nearby towns. Now one of the Esso outlets is back in business Sainsbury have markedly dropped their price of petrol, but I cannot recalll seeing a 29 pence difference between petrol and diesel fuel.

I see that with the chaos in China oil prices have dived and Brent Crude is now at its lowest since January 2022. Wonder when, or if, that reduction will feed through to pump prices. Probably be countered by another OPEC+ reduction in output.

Diesel looks to be 20p more than E10 at most places here. Staggering 12p difference between cheapest and most expensive with only one Morrisons and one Sainsbury's matching cheapest independents. What is significant is the super markets are only competing where they are next to a cheaper independent and look to be profiteering elsewhere.

Stopped worrying about 'price' ---- found out 'along' while ago that the 'box' don't seem to go without lifting that 'flap' at the back, and putting some of 'that smelly stuff' in!

Always assuming that you put the right smelly stuff in, 😉

Seen diesel at £176.9 to £179.9 around here, but area is very competitive with seven stations available within two miles of the house.
