DMF What is it

not all modern cars have dmf got a tucson and that has a hyd clutch .Just had clutch changed on waranty due to a bad batch of fly wheels 0n 07 modles ,and was told it does not have a dmf witch is a part of the smooth runing on idle.

A dmf and a hydraulic clutch are not the same thing. In fact, ALL dmf are driven by an hydraulic clutch, as are most single plate flywheels these days.
 
i asked this when they changed the clutch (for waranty reasons and was assured it did not have dmf)because it was a hyd sytem.Any way they done the job and cost me nowt.
 
I understand that some manufacturers now supply a non-DMF flywheel assemby to replace a failed DMF assembly. The penalty is a slight increase in vibration at some rev bands, but with modern diesels being smooth anyway one tester/reviewer could not tell the difference.
