do I need to connect all 4 speakers on a car radio

bailey standard radios are only fitted with two speakers but have provision for 4 so I would say you are on safe ground you would just have the fade control fully forward to the speakers

Just make sure the wires can't "short" with each other.

There will be a control - possibly in the menu called "fader". This is like a front / rear balance control. So you should have it adjusted fully to front (or rear if you've used the rear speaker wires.

we have just put rear speakers in our Indiana bit fiddly but its much better sound and we dont have to have volume up to hear it in bed now genuine Bailey speaker kit was
