If you are staying on a site which is within walking distance to the beach do you think it is acceptable to walk there with just your swimwear on ? For example a pair of speedo's or shorts with your towel arround your neck.

Would people who are eating their breakfast find this offensive ? After all its no different than sat on the beach looking at people half naked.

Also would it be bad practice to sit outside your van with just shorts on and take in a bit of the sun, or do you have to be careful incase someone is looking out of their window ?

You see its not really much different than walking to the shower block with your PJ's on, as long as your male/female bits are covered whats the problem.

Danny, presumably you will be on holiday, just do what YOU want to do and dont worry about what everyone else is doing.

Dress code is , simply, whatever is decent and comfortable on the given day.

I would be a bit worried and stare if you walked down Oxford Street in your undies or swimming gear. But if your a site which is normally near a beach it is quite normal. Liz

No problem with walking to and from the beach or pool or sunbathing, but I do object to people walking around the site super/minimarkets in their swimwear, so that their (almost) bare arses are six inches from my purchases.

As a family we always dress for the beach - my wife wears a full length gown as well as her high heel shoes and jewellery.

I try to keep up standards by escorting her with my dinner suit and black bow tie.

I hope my wife doesn't read this for I have to confess I once went to the beach dressed like this but had my swimming trunks on underneath!
