Electrolux fridge - smell of gas

Hello all.

Noticed at the weekend the fridge in our sired tourer stunk of gas when running on gas.

Flame is blue, an weirdly it sounded like the flame was roaring? Normally you cant hear a thing when its lit?

Its definitely the fridge as with that isolated there is no smell etc.

The C02 monitor did not respond with the fridge lit aswell (I put it next to it)

Anyone any thoughts?

Thanks

With a smell and a roar it clearly needs properly checking by a qualified gas engineer, until such time be safe, find the isolator valve tap and turn it off, then use the electric instead.

Sound advice from audiorob.

Isolate the fridge at the isolation tap and get it sorted out before trying to use gas again.
If you can smell gas in the van then that means the fridge is not properly sealed and you risk Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

Your post says "sired tourer", presumably you mean hired and if this is the case then there should be a gas safety certificate issued by a Gas Safe engineer in the van , is this so?

If not then you are taking a huge risk as all hired out units MUST be gas safe certified.
