Hi Baza...

glad to hear that you haven't had any problems with the MK3 it sounds like you've tested it well! It looks like we can finally look forward to some unspoilt views at last :)

Nigel...

we have a Swift Challenger 540, we thought the Firestar was exactly the same apart from interior colours? We found the marks showed up fairly quickly on the 30 mile trip home from the dealer, so a short test drive might put your mind at rest rather than wait for your next holiday?

James...

the newer window does protrude slightly more than the side ones but unless you were paying special attention you wouldn't really notice. Hopefully you will get your replacement quicker now that Swift are looking into it for you!

John/Wendy The AceFirestar is the same van has the challenger with exception to the size of the front centre window.

The Ace centre window is smaller in length by a considerable amount hence why the Challenger window has been increased to 25mm depth against only 6mm for the Ace.

Is their any one out their that has had the same problem with the centre window with an Ace van and has had the Mkll window fitted and found the 6mm modification has worked, if not l may have to take the van on a trip has you suggest Wendy to make sure it has worked.

The fitter from Miriad said since fitting the new types of windows on all models they had not had any problems, l am still a little concerned has l can still feel a little flex in the window, it may be that the 6mm increase has stiffed it enough to correct the fault.

Maybe worrying about nothing.
