Hello,

Anyone any experience towing with a Ford Focus? I have an 03 plate Focus Estate 1.8 tdci - the 113bhp version.

Anyone have any experience of towing with this car? I've just bought my first caravan - which has a max load weight of 1100kg (which I understand is 85% of weight of car). Doubt I'll fill it to the brim though as it's just for me and my two dogs!

Anyone with any advice for my first trip towing with the car?
 
Hi there, I tow a Fleetwood Challenger, unladen weight around 890kg, with a Ford focus 1.6 petrol 2005. Not had any problems at all, but have to be a little patient on long up gradients, so i would think with your 1.8 deisel, you wouldn't have to much trouble. Obviously a more powerful vehicle will deal with the job, that much easier. Hope this is of some help.
