hi lutz..

i see you replied to my question the other day about indicator beepers and you said you also had a signum.. im gonna be nosey and ask you which model it is and whats its like asa towcar..?? i have just got mine the other week after having a sorento, i have the 1.9 cdti 150ps elite model.. its a beaut car.. i have a abbey aventura 330 ( mptlm 1500) and as of yet havent towed it.. only to bring it home which is only a couple of miles.. we have a hol booked in devon in 5 weeks and am a bit nervous with it bein a newish car and not my sorento..

The short rear overhang of the Signum, the relatively long wheelbase for its size and the low profile 18" wheels make it a very stable towcar.

I don't use it for towing the caravan much so I didn't choose the engine particularly with towing in mind. It's only the 1.8 base petrol engine (140PS). When towing the 1300kg caravan I need to make very liberal use of the gears, but your 150PS diesel should be in a different league altogether.

I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

The Royale club President had one of these until it got stolen. It was the V6, and aside from being front wheel drive, was a tremendous towcar, though a bit thirsty when towing. Mind he has a very heavy right foot. His excuse is that at 86 years old, he hasn't enough time left to go slow!

(before the condemnatory posts flood in, that is a joke! He is 86, though)
