Ford C Max 2.0tdci Automatic or manual ?

i have been looking at both these models, however i have never towed with an automatic gearbox, any advice or suggestions

John,i would go for the auto.six speed same as the manual,and no problems of dmf failure which the manuals suffer from.i tow with the s max 2.0tdci auto which is the same engine and gearbox as the c max.have towed a 1600 kilo caravan for two years now,lovely towing machine.between 25 and 30 mpg towing and up to 50 mpg solo.it has 1750 kilo towing limit and weighs just under 1800 kilos.i get on a motorway set the cruise control to 55 and it changes up and down to maintain it

hi, what is dmf failure??, I am thinking of buying a 2007 manmual
