Ford Focus C-Max 2.0 tdci Estate

Hi

Does anyone have any experience towing with a Ford Focus C-Max 2.0 tdci Estate. We have been looking in the Auto Trader today and really like them. They give an 85% match with our caravan and can tow up to 1500kg. They have excellent fuel economy and are in the lower car tax bracket.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have used a CMax (2.0 Diesel Titanium with Sports pack) for about a year now.

I tow an Ace Aristocrat (1460kg) and the CMax manages motorways in 6th gear and 'A' roads in 5th gear. It tows well and we get about 30mpg overall while towing. Be aware that adding a towbar is expensive if you choose the Ford main dealer route (about
 
Hi Sam

I have just returned from a 7 week trip in france, on all types of terrain, in the alps, on the motorways and my c max was brilliant. Towing gave us around 33mpg cruise control and 6th gear on good roads and great on the steep hills. Whip the rear seats out and shove the bikes, chairs and awning in and away you go.
