Hi all, In these times as dirty diesels and possible tax/fuel increases on the way i'm thinking of changing to a ford c-max ecoboost 1.6 with a impressive 148bhp. I tow a small 1999 bailey ranger 440 and maybe looking to upgrade for a bit larger. Any thoughts? or owner reviews? . Many Thanks

Need to check its kerbweight, towing specifications, gross train weight etc. All the normal things. Recently I parted company with a 150hp 2014 Forester 2.0 non-turbo petrol as it just didn't have the torque and although it towed the caravan (1300kg MTPLM) it revved too much for a relaxed drive. However with the Ecoboost Turbo the torque should be better but as you say you need to seek reviews and user experience. I have friend who has a 3 cylinder small Fiesta with Ecoboost. I think it is 1.0 litre and 100ps. All I can say is that its pulling power four-up is amazing. So if Ford have done as good a job with the bigger engine it may be okay for your outfit. Good luck.
