I had a 2ltr mondeo ghia tdci and it was excelent to tow with, i have now bought a 08 mondeo 2.2 titanium x sport, it has a factory fitted detachable tow bar, i am just hoping the sports suspension will be allright for towing.

just got back from a weekend away first time with the mondeo towing it was excellent couldnt fault it!! i thought the freelander was good but this is in a different league it was just effortless average 45mpg (inc both towing and solo in stop start traffic)
 
I've had loads of diesel saloons and mpvs but my latest, a Mondeo 2.2 diesel beats the lot for towing. It's just effortless and so stable. To France and back I never onece felt buffeted by overtaking large 'white-vans' nor high-siders, and there was so much torque. I am well impresssed.
