I use a Ford Ranger 3.0 TDCI to pull our Bailey Auvergne. When pulling we get about 27-30 mpg .But the best thing is the amount of stuff we can take , being a pick up with covered back it will carry upto 1 ton and pull 3 ton so i don't really know the caravan is there. Also optional 4 wheel drive to get us out of any muddy fields.

i think It depends on where you are and when your there, as to what you pay on tolls and bridges.

In Birmingham i'm charges commercial rates on the toll.On Dartford crossing i'm not.In France i only pay normal car charges! I can't work it out.

I am informed that one if not both of the severn crossing bridges class pick up as comercial vehicles as well.

Thank goodness for the M50

I'm happy that the insurance class it as a commercial because when i tax it, it is cheaper to tax than a 1.6 petrol p reg astra!!
