Fridge/sink - condensation problem - Swift Celeste

Hello All

Wondered if anyone has come across a similar problem as we are having with our fridge/sink.

We recently purchased a 2003 Swift Celeste (based on a Charisma 550), which has its fridge directly under the sink. The sink has a glass lid and when the lid is down, we are getting a lot of condensation on the underside of the glass. We assume this is due to heat from the fridge (which is all working fine), and wonder if its maybe not venting properly. Not too worried about the excess water (as its in the sink anyway), just worried in case the fridge is over-heating.

Is this normal - would appreciate any ideas/views - or maybe Swift could comment?

Many thanks

Russell

Hi Russel

Used to have a 2003 540 Carisma and in very hot weather it used to do the same.I always found that the problem was worse if my awning had been closed all day.

Have to say that this never caused a problem with the fridge and it still used to produce enough ice for my whisky, so just keep the van well ventilated and make sure that you dont have a winter cover fitted to the outside grill.
