Garliseton CC Site

In this months CC mag it has a short article on Garliseton in the south west of Scotland, it looks a nice site anyone stayed there and if so what do you think.

It says theres not much space to put up awnings?

Garliseton is a beautiful site. There is 2 areas, one looking out over the bay and the other across the road in a walled garden type of area. Some of the pitches in the main area are small and not suitable for awnings especially those right at the front overlooking the water, however there is quite a number of pitches suitable for awnings. This is a very popular site and advance booking is advised. Amenity blocks are to the usual CC standards. It is a very quiet site in a small village with some nice walks from the site and as the article states plenty to see in the surrounding area. If you do go I don't think you will be disappointed.

We spent 10 days in early June at this site. It was as good as the article said. The site was almost full for the whole of our stay. The toilet blocks were adequate but could have been cleaner. The local pub does good and well priced food; we ate there four times in 10 days and never paid more than
