Gas regulators(2005 Bailey Ranger)

Hello all ,Just a quick question ,Last year while i was on holiday for two weeks in my van i had too change my gas regulator due to it not allowing any gas through,i payed for the regulator myself then claimed the money back through Barrons (who i had bought the van from)I emailed Bailey about this complaint but was told to buy a spare one in case this were to happen again ,which i think is unacceptable .

I wondered whether any of you had heard of any info about whether Bailey had got this problem sorted, because i havent heard anything from them.

cheers mike

Nichael, there are lots of postings on this , and other sites, about the regulator saga.

To cut a long story short, the problem still exists, the cause having been tracked down , most likely but not conclusively, to vans fitted with bulkhead regs which are lower than the gas level in the bottles, or where the pigtail drops downwards to the regulator.

The problem is the gas causing leeching of the pipe material and producing the sticky mess that blocks the reg.

It has cost Truma
