Have I done the right thing??

Hi all,

You know when you do summat on a whim then spend the next few hours wondering if it was right......

Well just travelled 300 mile round trip and purchased a Santa Fe 2.0td 53 plate.

This is to replace my ageing 3.0 Landcruiser Collerado(96) with 250k and our Beetle 1.6 petrol which the wife loves.

On the ride home I am impressed so far,£15=148 miles+.

Has anybody towed with these vehicles,my van wieghs 1398kg and I'm lookin to up this to a 1600kg van next year.

The milage is quite high on the car,142k but having looked at about ten this one seems to be better than most low milage ones I've looked at.It has fsh and is immaculate.

Have I made a boo boo or is this a good vehicle??

Gonna fit a towbar this week and take it away next weekend,

Any comments,good or bad welcomed.

Peter.i towed with a 55 plate 2.0crtd for about two years.it used to struggle a bit pulling away on a slight slope meaning i had to slip the clutch a bit.i think they have to high a first gear.apart from that it was a fine towcar.i was pulling a swift celeste on 1500kgs.i hope this helps. Ron
