Welcome to the forum. Going with the friends who sold you the caravan sounds good sense as they can show you the ropes as you go along.
Do not worry about towing, provided you have good towing mirrors and a suitable car it is not as daunting as you might think. Just take things easy at first and remember that the caravan cuts in on slow corners so you do need to take them a bit wider. Watch the caravan in the mirror and you will soon get the hang of it.
Enjoy the trip and let us know how you get on.

Yes same as Raywood, take things steady, try and absorbe thing, great idea that your going away with the folks. Hope you have good weather, Took my friends away for the first time in their new van , on day of departure It heaved down with rain and I forgot to lock the roof light down. So much for the experienced caravanner.
Enjoy.
Hutch.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting your caravan :)
Make a list of the clothes and utensils that you need to take with you but don't overload the caravan.
Check your tyre pressures and as others have said, take your time.
Empty supermarket car parks are good places to try out towing before you take to the roads
Enjoy .......

Only 1 bag of clothes :p

Remember you are on holiday, not a timetable, so go at your own pace you feel confident at until you get used to towing.

Make a list of everything you take, then when you get home unload all the things you didn't need and keep them out of the caravan for your next trip. :p

Whato and welcome, ask here anything that you are not sure about. We had a couple of dealer special 524L's. At the time the layout was more commonplace than it is today. The dogs liked the extra space you get with the L shape lounge and gawping out of the large side window.
