Hobby door lock replacement

Hi my daughter has lost the key to our 1999 hobby excellent 710 and broke a screwdriver in the lock! . The lock on it was changed years ago because she lost key so not original lock. Can anyone tell me what replacement lock I need, has to be one we can get quickly as site is closing Thursday. Any help really appreciated. Thanks

The images look to me to be of Hartal kit, if so most caravan & motorhome accessory shops along with eBay should have the tumbler barrel and matching key replacements.

I did look at replacing just the barrel but you need a tool to do it and it only works on unlocked barrels

I believe there is a master key, that you might be able to talk a friendly dealer into parting with if you come across as somebody of integrity.

I had a key break in the barrel on my caravan a couple of years ago. I removed the whole lock assembly because I couldn't release the tumblers any other way. I then put it in a vice and drilled the lock tumblers out carefully using a drill stand. One does need to hit the centre point of the barrel exactly and hold it there to prevent any sideways deflection of the drill. To avoid damaging the housing, it's also best to use a drill that is a fraction smaller than the outside diameter of the barrel itself and remove any remains using pointed pliers or something similar. It did work, though, and I only had to replace the barrel with a new set of tumblers.

It looks an identical lock to mine which is a caraloc 600 fitted on 92 abbey and 94 elddis, note available in left or right hand, mine new cost around £25 a couple of years ago
