Hi Andrew,

The site you have booked is an excellent site as all Hobourne site are.Well laid out,not far to the beach, some entertainment on site, very clean. Not far to the beach and shops, plenty of places to go to.If you are interested in having a look round there'sa trip you can do called a Round Robin which takes you on a steam train from near the site to Datmouth then ferryboat to Totnes(up the Dart river see fishermen netting salmon and Agatha Christies house)then bus from Totnes back home (site)Enjoy your holiday.Jim

As Jim - above normal standard touring and static park for families with decent swimming pool and entertainment.

A lot of statics so you can end up with people from all walks of life there (hint) but that is the same as any of these mixed parks.

The site is quite hilly so if might have trouble with that let them know when you book.

When are you booked to go there as we're likely to be going sometime in the school holidays.

We have been to Hobourne Cotswolds 4 times and its got a bit of everything for everyone, so if Torbay is anything like Cotswolds then you'll have a blast.

I agree with the others.

It is as already said quite hilly, but there are 2 touring areas, one lower and one upper. If you can get a pitch on the upper one then you are at the same level as the shop and not far to the complex.

I have looked in other sites in the area while down there, and thought that Hoburne was one of the better ones.

Having said that note Jeremys point about the large number of statics there!

The pool and entertainment are equal distances from either the lower or upper pitches.Upper pitches have a lovely views but if its windy hang onto to your awning.Lower section is more sheltered, toilet blocks could do with a overhaul,Adding more static vans all the time.

Our family have spent 3 October half terms there during the last 6 years.

Entertainment is very good and the site is of generally high standards (compared to many of the Haven sites and Butlins).

Only 1 negative, the ground has a high clay content which makes anything that touches it marked a brownish colour. Awnings, groundsheets, Aquaroll and Wastemaster and shoes/boots need a good scrub down after a wet week.

Having said that, we have always gone back and will (God willing) in the future.
