Hi jo-anne, See you at Knaresborough then we are booked in for the same week.

During the summer we are going to Longleat CC and then on to the Isle of Wight for 3 weeks staying at Whitefield Forest and then up to the peak district on the way home.

Hi, No never been to either Knaresborough or Longleat before but in the Peak District we have stayed at Losehill a few times, handy to walk into the village of Castlton where there are the caverns and some nice pubs although the dog walk on the site isnt the largest, we have also stayed at Blackwall Plantation near Ashborne, thats next door to Carsington water nice to walk or cycle around, not far from Matlock for the Heights of abaram and places like Buxton and bakewell.

No never been there but definatly looking forward to Knaresborogh its a pity that the restraunt on site has closed that would have been handy but I'm sure there must be other places close by.

jasper ive been told by a good source theres a pub 5 mins walk away from site that you can take dogs in. pub food reasonable prices. the warden is trying to get the chef from the pub to also do food at the site. some bloke from cc head office said the kitchen needs loads spending on it but apparently it doesnt need that much just some new work tops and a couple of electrical items. so they have gone over his head and spoken to someone higher about it. so i was told watch this space. so fingers crossed it maybe open for the may break.
