HOPEFULLY picking up first new to me caravan next weekend

My 13 pin sits under the rear valance and was checked. The Government website does not exclude a check on the 13 pin if it should be “ hidden”.

My 13-pin is also under the rear valance when stowed but can't be checked in the stowed position as the cover flap won't open.

We easily proved that it was actually fine. It turned out that some of the certified testing equipment did not always get it right. The MOT place had no choice but to fail my car even though they knew it was their equipment.

Apparently this happens a lot and car are being failed unnecessary? Perhaps it is something to do with the fact that newer caravans have LED lights at the rear and the car's computer recognises this, but the test equipment does not? I don't know so it is a guess.
