Hi

This isn't actually a caravanning question but I know that there's a lot of knowledge on this forum.

I'm away at conference near Vienna a the beginning of May and I'm taking my wife and extending our visit as a wedding anniversary (30th) treat.

I'm looking a cheapish hotel in near the centre of Vienna for a couple of nights. ANY SUGGESTIONS

You may also wish to look at Baden. It is a small town about 20 km south of Vienna and has a direct rail and tram link to the city. It is a very pretty small town and was the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joszef. Beethoven among others also lived there. It is a chocolate box Austrian town and you can easily imagine Julie Andrews running over the hills doing her thing. It is also a famous Spa town and has a marvellous Casino. The surrounding villages, especially Gumboldskirchen are famous for the Heurekins. These are cafe/bars attached to the vineyards. You get jugs of excellent wine and basic food for a cheap'ish price. Well worth a visit. There are good hotels at all prices. Try the Austria Hotel website.
