Hyundai Santa Fe tow test

A nice write up, had my premium for 2 years now 30k miles towing a 1600 kg caravan about 25 to 30 mpg, solo on motorways at 70. About 45 mpg. Town work around Milton Keynes you can expect maybe 30mpg, the 5 seater gives a lot of load carring space under the rear boot area. The Sat Nav is not the best. But a great tow car.

Not sure that the top spec ones can justify the price but a decent discount on the lower spec ones might be a decent bargain.

for what it is worth i love my sante fe for everyday and as a tug. I wouldn't buy one new though and i think that £39k is perhaps a bit steep. My preowned version (2010) ticks the boxes for me, it has the more powerful engine from earlier versions, tows very well and the kids think that the drop down arm rest with cup holders is great for playing cards on (little things are important.
