IL POGETTO, site near florence

Hi Dave, we stayed at Il Poggetto two yrs ago, it is an excellent site, with a fabulous restaurant. The pitches are large compared to many sites in Italy. It is a good base for touring the area. A bus stops right outside the gates, a return fare into Florence is only about _4, and you are dropped off in the centre of the city, no traffic or parking problems. The only snag is that it is a big of a drag into the town (cant remember the name!) for the supermarket, the site shop does the basics incl bread, milk, crossants etc.
