Ile de Re - Sites

Can anyone recommend or comment on sites on the Ile de Re. This is next years location for a September holiday. Any feedback most welcome... Thanks Phil & Linda

Have holidayed for several years on the Ile de Re. A beautiful island though busy in high season. There are plenty of sites although in peak season all are frequently full. There will be no problem in September - check first your site is open for the duration of your stay - several seem to close early. On a practical note the only 2 reasonable supermarkets are in the La Flotte / St Martin area - there is a third smaller one at Ars. Most sites on the island forbid barbecues. The toll car + caravan is of the order of

Hi Phil

We are booked to go back to Ile de Re this july, it was the most fantastic holiday ever. We stayed at Interlude with Eurocamp and the atmosphere was exactly as I had wanted. Beach attached to the site, pool good, great mix of nationalities, more english as we went further into August. Hope you enjoy it. Jael
