Inherited battery has given up

Has lasted 3 years or so, but has created a dilemma as my choices relative to height in the battery box divided by terminal design appear to be a problem.
I rarely go of grid, but do have power touch AWD quad motor movers, the current battery is now not holding , and providing the charge required to get me off my drive.

My existing battery box allows 190mm to the terminals, and the terminal layout only produces one battery on the main sites, I have tested the current battery using the movers and there is a significant drop in voltage after the van is only moved 2 feet and cuts out.

Current battery is Probat SFL 130R C100 HD it has performed fine during my ownership but the battery itself does not receive good reviews, I am anxious to replace it with something more in keeping with my personal usage.

The big problem appears to be battery height (190mm) also known as low profile, and terminal layout, + .........- rather than the readily available - ..........+ I would like to try a Numax but cant seem to find a fitting.

I already tried my battery around the other way to see if I could utilise the other option, sadly the I could not secure the cover which is situated in the bedroom.

Turning your battery around places the terminals on the wrong side and thus affect the fitting.
You just need to check the length of the cables.

Have you tried Tayna Batteries? You can put the physical size of the battery in and it will show you the options available, along with the terminal layout. I can recommend the Numax DC25MF 105Ah.

Yes I have been on their site, I am restricted to 190mm in height because of the fitting area. I would love it to have my connection plan.

What type of terminal connections do upu want to you use? The Numax height of 190 includes the terminals.

I find it difficult to believe that of all the leisure batteries on Tanya website there is not one to fit a 2018 Bailey. Are you in an owners club where other Pamplona owners could advise you? If you really are stuck why not just purchase a repeat of what has been okay for three years despite you saying it gets poor reviews.

This expert's video shows a Numax battery being fitted yo a Pamplona
Having watched that video I don't understand the OP's issue - the battery can be fitted either way round and the cables are long enough to cope with either terminal layout - the only issue is the battery height but 190mm is a common height for leisure batteries.

I have used these batteries in the past, they last well and are low profile if the height is an issue
Numax also do a similar size 190 height

190mm is a common height these days. My last caravan was 190mm and I fitted a Banner battery. Yes it was tight vertically but the battery fitted okay with its cables routed. The previous battery on that caravan was Exide again tight but that’s how they are.

Is it the actual terminal height that's the problem? Watching the video Dustydog has provided I wonder if it's the retaining bracket or both? If so the bracket can be easily "bodged" with a flat plate and a bit of packing I imagine?

There seems to be ample space in the box itself. Far more than I get in my Swift.

I watched the video and I was surprised he applied grease to the terminal pillars before fitting the clamps. Unless the grease is conductive I would never apply an insulating layer between the two surfaces as this would increase the resistance and limit the max current available which for twin axle caravan you need to stop the mover electronics shutting down due to low battery voltage. I have applied a thin spray of grease after connecting the terminals , but only when the battery is in an adverse environment i.e a sea going RIB
