insurance rip off

Hi we have just moved house ,and when my wife phoned her car insurance company to notify them of her change of address, she had to pay an extra £56.00 for the 5 remaining months ,because they said it was a higher risk area ,and yet when i notified my insurance ,i didnt have to pay any thing ,nor did i pay any extra for the caravan ,so i think my wifes insurance is extracting the urine ,has any body else experienced this when moving house

Im afraid its their way of getting back lost money when they undercut each other.

Told my insurance company i had a speeding offence (which you have to do or they can refuse to pay out) and they added

Afriend of mine caught speeding had the option of attending a course instead of getting points on his license.

On the course he was told by someone that works in car insurance that his premium could raise by

i can understand your insurance increasing if you have commited a driving offence ,but the only offence we commited according to my wifes insurance company was to move house ,my insurance never went up ,nor did the caravan go up

The insurance company might be correct and it is a high risk area for them, other companies might have had fewer claims hence why no change.

Looks like its time to shop around in 5 months time then and then see what your wifes insurance co has to say about that!

What I have done before now is to have a little play on confused.com about 4 weeks before renewal, so that my existing insurer who quotes through that knows I am shopping around.

I lived in Southsea (Portsmouth) a few years back and I moved from a quiet (or so I thought) area to right near 3 nightclubs.

I expected my insurance to go up

After shopping around on the web for car insurance i found Chuchill to be best for us , however our house insurance is with Prudental so asked them and they gave me a better quote using Churchill, i found that weird as well.
