Hi all, I'm trying to conduct a little market research for a university project. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated:

1. Do you often use 3 or 4 of the hob burners at once? Or would a double burner do the job

2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination?

3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough?

4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal')

5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable?

6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards?

7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers?

Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback

Thank you

1. Cannot remember ever using more than three burners. We would probably accept two if all other thigs were equal but might ask for a three burner ring if it was an option. We have had two burners on earlier caravans and managed so we know it is noty a major problem.
2.A gas and electric hob is available on some caravans and we would certainly go for it if it was offered on any caravan we were looking at. We pay for gas but electric usually comes in the cost of the pitch.
3.We have had sinks without a glass lid but a glass lid can be used as additional workspace so is desirable but not a dealbreaker.
4. We could do with a bit more fridge space but doubt 90 litres is needed. We buy most food as we go along so it is not a problem for us.
5. The wardrobe on ours is far larger than most and is more than adequate for two of us. I have to say that a large number of caravans do have wardrobes that are too small though.
6. This depends on the storage available elsewhere. Again we already have far more than we use so a shelf or nothing at all would be no problem. Some smaller caravans can be short on storage so lockers would help.
7. Not sure where these are supposed to be but two decent draws rather than one very deep one would be preferable.

Hi all, I'm trying to conduct a little market research for a university project. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated:

1. Do you often use 3 or 4 of the hob burners at once? Or would a double burner do the job Have used 3 but not often.

2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination? Already have a gas/ electric combination with one electric ring plus microwave

3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough? Open sink with optional removable worktop. We already have this option, the 'extra' worktop is stowed under the sink when not in use.

4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal') Depends on how many occupants, our fridge is adequate for 2 and we usually buy fresh food at our destination anyway, but some caravans have whacking great fridge freezers fitted.

5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable? Not really because more clothes= more weight

6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards? We prefer cupboards but many newer designs with the roof line skylight have a sheld instead. Remember that any item placed on a shelf has to be stowed before towing otherwise the item could become a missile which would cause damage.

7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers? No, we prefer separate draws, we wouldn't want our cutlery to be stored alongside something that was used outside.

Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback

Thank you
Any caravan design has to compromise between fitted equipment and weight. It's possible to manufacture the most luxurious and well equipped caravan in the world but it would be very heavy and beyond the towing capabilities of the average family car.

Rarely use more than two at a time
2. Would a gas or electric hob be desirable or a combination?
Combination
3. Do you think a glass sink lid is required or would an open sink be enough?
A lid of some kind , usually a chopping board is essential to maximise surface area for food preparation
4. Do you think enough fridge space is provided? Do you require more or less. (take a 90litre fridge as 'normal')
Yes .
Massive fridge freezers are a waste of space. 100litres is more than adequate.

5. Would a larger wardrobe be desirable?
No

6. Would it be preferred to have shelves above the front window or cupboards?
Prefer the locker cupboards

7. Would it be preferred to have one deeper and longer drawer, than having two separate drawers?
Prefer two drawers
Any answers to these questions would be much appreciated and any extra feedback

Thank you
