Jaguar

Can anyone help I have just bought a 2003 Jaguar X Type 2.0 litre petrol Auto. I am told its based on the Mondeo running Gear and want to tow an Abbey Piper total 850 Kgs.

I take it will tow ok but has anyone any experience of towing with one of these

Thanks

Dave

Yes I use a 2002 2.5 sport manual to pull a 1100kg swift. It tows great, very stable & plenty of power.

If you have reversing senors you need to get a detachable tow bar fitted.

Hi Dave.

How are you finding the X Type to tow with etc? Did you have the tow bar fitted yourself and did you have reversing sensors to contend with? I have recently posted a similar question (suitability) regarding a 2.5 Auto. saloon but as yet have had no response.

Thanks

Ken
