Just graduated

Well sort of. Its only taken about 40 years to go from a oneman ridge tent .. a mini trailor tent..big trailor tent.. folding caravan to a brand new Trigano Rubis 420 popup caravan.

I 1st spotted popups about 20 years ago but bank would not run to anything like it.

Now as a joint retirement pressie from wife to me and me to wife we`ve made that leap.

4 Weeks we've had it and twice so far its been used. The idea beeing 3 weeks at home followed by a few days away.

Latest trip beeing to a rainsoaked site in the Forest of Dean..280 pitches and only 12 persons in residence.

Hi

we have an Eriba Familia 310 pop-up caravan - first van so it is our pride and joy.

hope you have as good a time as we do when we are away, all the best.

Welcome to the forum.

I do hope you enjoy your retirement and the times away caravanning. We have certainly found caravanning to be a oasis for us.

The down side is for me, that I still ahve to work shifts and comute 30 miles each way to work.

Happy days.

Steve.

Thanks for the welcomes.

I feel a bit like a fish out of water posting here at the momment tho I do have some knowledge from past camping that may be of use to some.

(bet I upset a few 'oldies' during my learning curve tho.. not intentionally I assure you)

Ive never liked the idea of towing altho trailor tents etc have finally got me to the point I am at now.

I was shocked last evening when I did a few random checks to find out my 'rig' is 34.44feet long.. thats longer than the London busses by 4 feet!!

The tugs a Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.7 XL petrol V6

and the vans a new Trigano Rubis 420 popup.

2 trips away so far with it have shown just how little I know so I`m thrilled I found this site to compliment the monthly mag I already subscribe to.

Have been a member of the CCC for about 15 years and just joined the CC so should be able to sort myself out between those 3.
