Keeping the caravan clean whist in temporary storage

Hi'

Our caravan will be stored on a site for the next season - in a storage area under trees and we will bring it out onto the main site as and when required. A great help as my wife is recovering from an illness.

The trees in the past have deposited leaves/ grime / a gluey substance etc

Would it be best to invest in a caravan cover or is there a product to keep especially the roof clean?

Any advice would be appreciated.

PS happy to give the caravan a clean each time, just trying to avoid any deterioration!

Thanks

Bernard

Hi Bernard

I hope that your wife makes a full recovery from her illness.

You could apply a coat of Fenwicks overwintering which would keep the worst of the grime from the roof of your caravan. Its available from caravan accessory stores and is a cheaper option and less hassle than buying a cover and removing it every time that your caravan is on the main site and replacing it when it's back in storage

Hi Bernard.

Parksy I believe has given good advice.

We never cover our van as I read somewhere that covers are a good idea but there may be the danger of sscratching covering or uncovering .

Im sure there will other opinions of this topic to follow but this only my opionion and always glad to read other vanners ideas .

Happy New Year Sir Roger
