Dometic Fridge door failure

It had to happen. The door finally fell off. You will see from my photos the thin plastic of the fridge floor and the door itself carry all the weight of the products stored inside the door like bottles etc.
You can buy door hinge repair kits , top and bottom at £30. + each end. Sadly none available until July at earliest.

The hardest part was repairing the fridge floor with a metal Doppler plate and lots of JB Weld.
The door hinges were easier making up,my own metal plates , JB Weld , self tappers .
Removing and refitting the fridge was not easy. The gas pipe didn’t want to refasten. A bit of careful fettling and post testing for gas leaks all is back in working order . Next time GSI. Get Someone In😉.

So you have beat the system, good for you. I notice you have patio slabs the same as mine, great choice. And that you are brave enough for Crocks. 😁

The only thing I've ever had stolen on a caravan site was a pair of Crocs.....

Highly desirable.........

I have just started the renovation of a paved patio. Absolute nightmare whoever laid it down wants shooting.. Riven grey pavers ( as per DD's) in a random style with gaps that vary from cigarette paper to 20mm+. Some gaps have virtually opened themselves up as the grout has gone AWOL, , whereas others seem to be grouted with Roman mortar. My plans to use modern epoxy grouts have been dished, and I will probably fall back to mortar based grouting.

Just a word of warning. After such major works don’t expect the fridge to go back in exactly the same position as before. The gas pipes are in a tight space. Be very careful to avoid crossing the threads. Triple check over one hour there is no leak . I used the gas leak detection spray
