kia sedona noseweight

Have just changed to a 2004 kia sedona 2.9se it's a great car!! but can anyone tell me the noseweight I've read recently that it is only 70kg is that correct? If so has anyone had any problems towing a 1460kg caravan.

We tow an 2007 Abbey Safari 495 but it is in Spain at the moment and we want to tow it home later in the year .

Dave

hi David,

We have a Kia Sedona se+.Hubby has just checked the manual.

The maximum towing weight is 2000kg and the nose weight is 80kg.We tow a caravan of 1695kg.

Hope this helps.

hi david can't help with nose weight but we had that shape sedonna for 4 years must say very good car shame to have sold it we now have new shape sedonna....c&p

Hi Thanks for your reply that puts our minds at rest as we j previously had a jeep which had a noseweight of 100kgs but if you pull a 1695kg van we should have no problem with a 1450kg van.

,Hi Dave,

We have an Abbey Expression 640 twin axle.We do not have any problem towing her with our Sedona.Although as we are retiring next year we are looking to put both cars in and get a Kia Sorento.Hubby is still a bit iffy on this though as the Sedona is so roomy inside for carrying stuff and when we go away we seem to end up with the grandkids in our car as well.Plus if you are going out for the day the whole family can go in one car.
