Kia Sorrento Tyre Pressures

Hi!I have been towing for nearly 12 years. My tow cars have been Freelander, Merccedes MLs ( 2) and now a Kia Sorrento. Whereas all previous cars required rear tyre pressures to be increased when towing, there seems to be no usch recoomendation for the Kia. I find the Kia to be aa poor tow car compared with the ML in terms of stability. Is there a connection? ( Cravan Club technical line say "follow manufacture's guidelines but are they just CTA?? )

HI! Alison i tow with a Kia sportage (obviously not as heavy as the Sorrento ) but the Sportage is (solo) front&rear pressures are 2.20 BAR (loaded/towing) front & rear 2.50 BAR this might help

cheers

Surely thats like saying a Ford Fiesta is a poor car compared to a Ferrari.

I don't think anyone can justify calling the Sorento a poor towcar for the price.

i couldnt agree more with steve ,i have towed my sperstorm for 3years covering 28,000miles with no instability problems or any sort of niggles come to that ,previous to that i tugged with a shogun 2.5d for 13 yrs and that would take some beating, but only time will tell if the sorrentowill be up for it jim

I have had a Sorento for 5 years now and stick with the Kia recommendation of 35psi all round when solo or towing. Tyre wear has been good (30k) and no problems with grip off road.
