Re the caterpillars mentioned I never saw any sign of them on either of the occasions I was there. My understanding from other postings was that these caterpillars were common over that entire region last year not just at La Garangeoire. I'm sure Colin (Bridgend) posted about them being on the site he was on last year. Someone posted a link to info on them which I've managed to find on google. Apparently they are also moving into England (time to rebuild Hadrian's Wall 😀 ).
