No “daft” questions on here; if you don’t know then ask. Basically they clip onto the awning: the ladder sides clip into the 2 c shapes on the grey clips on the awning. Then put the peg through at the rung of the ladder that best tightens the awning. If the edge of the awning where the clips is close to the ground then clip the ladder in half way along the ladder. The ladders have some stretch so they allow the awning to flex in windy weather.
Someone cleverer than me, may well post some photos.

Edit, Just re-read this. It is like explaining cricket! For the love of Caravanning, someone post a photo!, :woohoo:

Also don’t over tighten the ladder straps as you could put too much stress on the awning. Just nicely tensioned.
Leisureshop direct have a picture showing them fitted. If the link below doesn’t work Bing Ladder Straps under images and you will see the arrangement.

Once you have attached them they can be packed away with the awning to save the same job on your next outing. I always use the end hole to attach to the 'T' in the awning seam, and then use the appropriate peg hole to tension the awning. A good item to allow for the undulation in the pitch surface and readily replaceable if any go AWOL!
