Lake District

Merry New Year to all.

Do any of you knowledgeable people out there know of a site which allows boat access to Windermere where both caravans, tents and a motorhome can be sited together (ie not in seperate parts of the same campsite but right next door to each other). If, as I suspect, there isn't one does anyone know of any other site which provides acces to any other lake with the same criteria ?

Help would be most appreciated as trying to accomodate our group is giving me many headaches and that doesn't include trying to all get the same week away.

The booking would be for July is that makes any difference.

many thanks

Mike

Contact Fallbarrow Park, Bowness on Windermere, they may be able to help

Also White Cross Bay nr. to Ambleside

Keswick has been mentioned

Also there a a few sites at pooley bridge at the east end of Ullswater that may have what you require.

Regards

Sheila

Many thanks for your responses.

I think the Keswick site is looking best for us all because as far as I am aware Fallbarrow and Whitecross Bay don't allow tents.

In view of this can anyone who has been to the Keswick site advise me if tents are allowed to be pitched right next to the hardstanding for the caravan and motorhome or if it is best to book grass pitches for all the units.

Cheers

Mike
