Before dieselgate, one of the selling points for diesel was that it was much less flammable than petrol.I have no skin the ICE/BEV/PhEV discussion, [which is best/ you're an idiot if you prefer one or t'other] but I've always thought that 70+ litres of flammable liquid sat under the rear seat being pumped through little pipes to a box performing controlled explosions, cannot be considered "safe". Perhaps we all accept a modicum of risk when operating a machine which concentrates energy into a storage medium for propulsion.
Must be plenty idiots on here 🙄 as we either have petrol, diesel, leccie cars.I have no skin the ICE/BEV/PhEV discussion, [which is best/ you're an idiot if you prefer one or t'other] but I've always thought that 70+ litres of flammable liquid sat under the rear seat being pumped through little pipes to a box performing controlled explosions, cannot be considered "safe". If I have read Custard Avengers post correctly they are NOT saying that people who prefer one car to another are idiots ( if he was then the comment would have been deleted).M

Looks a very good deal.Interesting new development https://octopusev.com/power-pack-bundle
a BYD Dolphin, installation of a V2G charger and free home charging for the duration of the lease.
You’ll charge for free overnight and Octopus will buy it back at times of peak demand during the day.
I believe it’s £300 per month, servicing included.
Seeing this brand new scooter has faster charger times and latest battery charger and longer life and it comes with a two years limited warranty so far been very happy so far the reason I went for this the battery pack is lighter and that a big plus for me with my mobility issues .![]()
Ours has been advertised here for a little while if of any interest to you. Thames Valley area (coincidentally just back from the New Forest today), but an easy detour for you. We potentially also might be near Brockenhurst the weekend of 5th / 6th July if that helps Advert Link
pm me if interested
Sound good what happens to the charger at the end of the lease, only 5,000 miles per year plus required to plug in 12 hours per day for 20 days per month, quite restrictive.Interesting new development https://octopusev.com/power-pack-bundle

Like any leases, they can go up to 12,000 miles/year - presumably at a higher monthly rate.Sound good what happens to the charger at the end of the lease, only 5,000 miles per year plus required to plug in 12 hours per day for 20 days per month, quite restrictive.
