lost Thetford locker key

Hi everyone, we have lost the key to our new Thetford Cassette toilet "filler-cap" door . Contacted them for assistance, no help what-so-ever, answered me in Dutch. Got onto Leisure Shop Direct who passed me on to Kenmore Caravanslock taken apart from its housing.jpg.
They suggested that without the key the only way was to break open the door-hinge, lift out the mechanism and then get the key number from the barrel as spare Thetford keys are available from places like Amazon & Ebay.

Didn't work I'm afraid, my barrel piece bears no relationship at all to those being sold around the internet as mine is a sealed-unit and there seems no way to open it to look at the 'barrel'.

See some images

Hope someone can help as we don't know where to go next...

Strange that Thetford routed the call to the Netherlands. When I worked over there I’d be hard pressed to find anyone who couldn’t speak good English. I assume your other keys don’t work as it’s a new unit. Shouldn’t it have come with two keys?Anyway hope that you get it resolved.

The key is normally the same number as fits all the other lockers
Doesn't seem to be.
When we had the toilet fitted it came with two sets of keys. One set opened the filler-cap door and the other set opened the main tank door (to take away the contents). This key didn't fit the filler-cap door and vice-versa. What I should have done was written down the key numbers somewhere but forgot to do it. As I've been unable to open the sealed key-barrel itself then the only answer is to buy a completely new kit, filler door with keys and retro fit it myself, but thanks for the help.

So i presume this is not factory fitted in a Caravan as normally one key fits everything. Looks as though you are going to purchase a new filler and make a note of the key number. If it only has one key I would then go to a key cutter such as Timpsons and get a spare cut before fitting it.
