Anyone stayed at Manor Wood caravan park outside Chester? What's it like? Main concern as it is so rural is there bus services running close by - saves having to take the car for every outing! Thanks for any info.
Haven't stayed at that site but have stayed a few times at the Caravan Club site outside Chester. It is definitely on bus routes and is also close to the Park & Ride car park at the zoo.
Good site and also within walking distance of the very large discount shopping centre and multi screen cinema.
Was there last year for the world cup in July, would recomend this site as a good family site staff are so helpful and being pitch right next to the play park all activites ended at dusk. Fishing onsite was very good in the childrens pond with fish every few mintues. The adult lake was a little slower but a few large fish was caught. Overall the site was clean and well kept a credit to the staff.
We used to keep our caravan in the storage site at Manor Wood and pull it out for weekends on their CL site. That was a couple of years ago and they developed their main site during that time.
Owners Nigel and Angela Dutton live on site and are lovely, friendly people who give excellent service. The site is a very pleasant rural one surrounded by lovely countryside. I'm sure about bus services but it is within 5 minutes walk of the main road A534 Wrexham to Nantwich road.
The site is well clean and well kept with an outdoor swimming pool, fishing lakes, children's playground and tennis courts.
We would still be there if it hadn't been for changes in our own circumstances. There are some good reviews of the site at
