mazda6 2.0 petrol estate

Has anyone towed with this Mazda model? I would appreciate any feedback. Heard a lot about the diesel model but nothing about the petrol one. Maximum tow is 1500kg. My caravan is a Compass Magnum 540/4, weight 1365kg. Thanks.
 
We used to tow with the mazda 6 2.0 petrol and it was a good tow car but lacked the low down power of the deisel. It was very stable though with a ranger 6 berth.
