I am about to have a mover fitted to my Abbey GTS and want to change the jockey wheel from a solid wheel to a pneumatic type. The jockey wheel fits through the A frame. How do I change it?

I assume your jockey wheel comes through the center of "A frame", as side clamp versions are self expanatory!!
Without a hoist or pit, you require to get the caravan, nose up as high as pos on the corner steadies.
Then with no weight on the wheel,wind down the wheel as far as it will go, loosening the clamp as you unwind.
The inner screw and outer tube will eventually seperate, so you can remove screw with wheel from bottom and tube with winder from top. Reverse operation for fitting replacement.

Have a look at the set up around the actual wheel that holds your solid tyre, it may be held in place by a split pin.
If so, with the van on it's steadies, lift the jockey clear of the ground and remove the split pin and axle, allowing the wheel to drop out.
You should be able to purchase a pneumatic tyre fitted to a suitable wheel for your van and fit it without the need to remove the entire jockey wheel assembly.
I recently replaced our pneumatic tyre & wheel in a similar fashion after my tyre literally blew to shreds whilst moving the van across gravel with the mover.
Unfortunately, I can't remember how my original solid wheel was set up as my dealer changed it when we bought the van.

When we had our mover fitted our dealer advised against fitting pneumatic tyre to jockey wheel on the grounds that the tyre can come off the wheel, so we stayed with solid wheel and not had any problems
