Hi,

I have a Reich ona Series 5 Pageant and it has been very good. R&L Draper fitted it ( use Google) and it is in front of the axle. I hav ehad no problems with ground clearance on ferries or speed bumps, and it meant that I can keep the side lift jack position and the spare wheel carrier.

Have you ever had to jack up your wheel? If not...I would advise you to make sure that it will do so without problems before you set off again!

We had our Reich fitted on to the front by the dealer when we changed our caravan and found that the wheel jammed against the mover before it was high enough to turn the wheel to check the brakes. We were glad that we were at home and not on th side of the road. We then had the reich re-fitted to the rear of the wheels as Reich recommend.

Hi,

Reichs website and literature say that the mover can be fitted behind or in front of the wheel. Mine is in front and I hav ehad no problem jacking up the van to remove the wheels and fit winter security wheels. The Reich also causes no problems with either the Bulldog Titan, or QD 44 wheel locks. Was ther soemthing awry with your fitting? I used R&L Draper who are Reich specialists.

George,

Thanks for your response. Which Powr Touch have you fitted? there is a Model 1 (suitable for caravans up to 1200kgs), and a Model 3 - Heavy Duty (suitable for caravans up to 1500kgs).

My Pageant Bugundy is 1400kgs. Do you have any problems with ground clearance beneath the van? Does it affect the spare wheel carrier in any way?
Martin,

sorry it took so long to respond, like a pr*t I did'nt look at your comment............

Model 3, no probs with ground clearance, but just make sure you don't cut a corners too fine, otherwise it may clip the kerb, thats where you get clearance issues, otherwise on the road no probs, oh and take care on those very small width speed humps, no it does not affect the spare wheel carrier as it's fitted in front of the wheels

Hi, there is a good letter in this months PC which has been submitted bya caravan service engineer with experience of movers. From what he says he has not had any problems jacking a wheel with correctly installed movers of any make. Perhaps your mover is not installed quite right.

Cheers
