My wife went out yesterday to the Range and park her car and she notice another one not to far away when she came home, I said there something missing from her Scuttle panel one side was missing this is what it looks like now it looks a very nice cut .
Well went to our local Volkswagen Parts Department this morning and they order a Scuttle panel from left to right .then had a phone call it just a end cap and they cannot get it
So I said what are you going to do about it she cannot drive around with it like that the right wing will get rusty with all of this damp weather we are having.
Well they got back to me after a couple of hours and said lucky it a pre newish car they did come with a new complete scuttle panel left to right then this gap will be sorted so now waiting for it to come .here on Saturday just hoping it is the right one for it

What a disappointing outing, but good service from VW. There's always a low life somewhere and you can't protect yourself 100%

How sick is that BB? Some tow cloth steals your wife’s body parts 🤬

I’d go back to the Range, see if the mystery car turns up and take your part back. Ok illegal too but you get my drift.
Is this an expensive VAG part?

There’s no saying the other car took the part as there must have been other cars parked in The Range. If the whole front bodywork can be stolen when parked at public car parks or even a supermarket the piece from Mrs BB’s car would have only taken seconds to remove.

BB You said “very nice cut”. Done by the thief ? Or is it how the vehicle is? Could it just have fallen off?
Have you tried the Breakers yard route on line these days?

When I had a windscreen replaced the fitter had to remove the water scupper to replace the screen, he said I was lucky the clips hadn't broken and it could be replaced, otherwise I would have he to buy a new one.
Who knows, if someone"needed" Bb's

I was expecting it to be £100 but no it was only £45. so not to expensive
Just fitting to add to that price 30-45mins .
