I have a VW Passat 2.0TDI Saloon 140bhp. I am trying to confirm the kerbweight against which i should apply the 85% rule. My car handbook says 1464Kg unladen. A previous issue of Practical Caravan says 1648Kg when the car was reviewed. Can anyone confirm / explain ?
 
The cuddles.abelgratis website is no more accurate than the details given in the original question.
 
The only way to be absolutely certain of the weights on your car is to look on the manufacturers data plate.

My alhambra (made by vw) has the plate located on the inner offside front wing and confirmed to me that my particular car weighed in at over 100 kgs more than the handbook stated.
